ECT (electrical capacitance tomography) works by acquiring multiple measurements and combine these to provide information on the electrical properties of the process volume.
ITS has extensive knowledge and experience in the development of ECT sensors for vessels and pipelines and has developed a new sensor design, aimed to be deployed in process areas where the traditional circumferential ECT cannot be applied. One of the examples is to monitor materials variations that are embedded underneath a flat surface. ITS development team has worked with customers to develop the planar ECT sensor which works by attaching planar sensors against the wall/surface and monitor the process.
