ITS install another tomography system in Latin America
Industrial Tomography Systems strengthened its user network in Latin America last month, as two of our highly trained engineers visited Chile.
Applications Engineer Beatriz Cuesta and VP Technical Sales Edmund Talideh (pictured) spent several days travelling around the country promoting ITS products and installing our tomography instrumentation at a top university, where it will be employed in a copper tailing application (for more details on how ITS technology can be employed in mining processes, visit our mining applications page). Professors at the university were particularly pleased with the functionality of their new tomography system; Dr Christian Ihle (Assistant Professor of Mining Engineering) remarked how impressed he was with its ability “…to measure concentration distributions in dense mixtures of more than one phase, non-invasively, and without having to use equipment that utilises nuclear-based technology”.
For native Spanish speaker Beatriz (a key member of ITS’s cosmopolitan engineering team), the trip was an opportunity to utilize her natural linguistic skills, as well as a chance to share her tomography expertise with fellow engineers; “It was a fascinating experience being in contact with the scientific community in Chile, we received a very warm welcome”.
With another tomography system successfully installed in Latin America, ITS can boast having instrumentation on all 5 major continents. For details of ITS distributors and agents in your country, visit our Global Partners page.
