ITS Exhibiting at ISMIP9
The 9th iteration of the International Symposium on Mixing Process (ISMIP9) is arriving at the Hyatt Regency hotel, Birmingham from the 26th – 28th June 2017. ISMIP collects the best and brightest researchers from both industry and academia to engage over their expertise and current projects regarding mixing processes. This year’s instalment of the triennial event is placing heavy focus upon rheology, mixing for manufacturability, mixing within biological processes, mixing in microfluidic dynamics and computational fluid dynamics.
Representing ITS at ISMIP9 is Research Engineer Tom Machin and Technical Sales Engineer Beatriz Cuesta. Tom will be presenting a poster, on the work ITS has done in the field of rheology, titled ‘real-time rheology and mixing using process tomography’. At the same time, Beatriz will be manning ITS’ exhibit at stand #3. Be sure to drop by the stand as Beatriz will be showcasing ITS’ MIX-ITOMETER system by providing demonstrations, answering questions and providing literature on the system and its many capabilities.
ITS’ MIX-ITOMETER measures average concentration and mixing index by surveying more than 200 locations inside the process vessel; the data acquisition system can then process this information to provide a visual representation of the current mixing in real time using a PC based user interface. The live volumetric imagery enables users to carefully observe mixing homogeneity during each phase of the mixing process; allowing users to process to end point.
