Involving the selective separating of valuable materials from other substances by causing them to gather in a layer of surface froth; flotation is a key process in a number of industries, and continues to be highly important in the mining sector.
ITS has developed specific tomography sensors to increase users’ understanding of froth flotation, and to aid in flotation research. Our durable and robust dip probe takes measurements which are fed to our state-of-the-art software; this interprets the data and enables users’ to track the profile and interfaces in real-time, with an incredibly high degree of accuracy.
Once the dynamics of pulp behaviour are understood, changes can be made to improve efficiency, which are scalable for:
- Research and development / laboratory scale
- Pilot plant scale
- Production level
Additionally, ITS is able to offer ATEX rated systems for use in explosive environments, making our technology ideally suited to your froth flotation needs.
