Non-Conducting Vessel
Circular |
Electrodes arranged uniformly around a process vessel or pipeline of non-conducting material. A single earth electrode is required a short axial distance from the measurement electrodes. |
Probe (single earth) |
Linear array of electrodes on a non-conducting support material within a non-conducting vessel. A single earth electrode is required, usually at the top or bottom of the measurement electrodes. |
Probe (dual earth) |
Linear array of electrodes on a non-conducting support material within a non-conducting vessel. Two earth electrodes are required at the top and bottom of the electrode array. |
Channel (U sensor) |
An array of electrodes suitable for open channels with 4 electrodes on either side and 8 electrodes along the base of the channel. |
Dual-Probe (PI sensor) |
16 electrodes arranged as two opposing linear arrays of 8 electrodes. |
Cross-correlation |
A measurement strategy for 2 circular sensors. Voltage measurements from each sensor are inter-leaved. These measurement files can be read by ITS's Cross-Correlation Software to determine velocity distribution across a pipe. |
Conducting Vessel
Circular |
Electrodes arranged uniformly around a process vessel or pipeline of electrically conducting material. The electrodes are insulated from the vessel or pipeline wall. A single earth electrode is required a short axial distance from the measurement electrodes. |
Probe |
Linear array of electrodes on a conducting support material within a conducting vessel. Two earth electrodes are required at the top and bottom of the electrode array. |
