ITS CEO to Speak at upcoming ISPE Event
ITS CEO Ken Primrose has been selected to speak at the upcoming ISPE event (International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering) into process analytical technology. The event, on 17th October 2017, will explore the processing benefits of new and innovative technologies on pharmaceutical production and manufacturing.
Ken will be delivering a presentation titled ‘Application of electrical tomography to in-line measurement of the rheological properties of Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids’. Successful trials have shown that a multi-scale Electrical Resistance Tomography (ERT) system is able to non-invasively, extract the velocity profile within a pipe which may be coupled with the measurement of differential pressure, to elucidate real-time rheological parameters from in-line measurements. Experimentation has revealed that ERT is able to capture such properties with a maximum deviation of approximately ±4% and 98% accuracy when compared to a conventional rotational rheometer. Moreover, this may be achieved alongside conventional tomography outputs and visualisation.
Joining Ken at the event is speakers representing GSK, Indatech and Martin Warman Consultancy. This event is not to be missed by anyone with a keen interest in the processing and pharmaceuticals industry.
