m3000
The m3000 utility allows users to manage a number of different tomography modalities:
- Electrical resistance tomography
ERT is used where the continuous medium is conducting (typically aqueous systems, although some polar solvents such as alcohols, acetonitrile are also suitable) - Electrical capacitance tomography
ECT is used where the continuous medium is non-conducting (typically organic solvents, oil, gas) - Acoustic tomography (based on time of flight)
Acoustic tomography is effective at identifying boundaries / interfaces - Acoustic spectroscopy
Acoustic spectroscopy can provide rheological information and particle characterisation
The m3000 utility enables users to drive combinations of the above where there is an interest in extracting additional data (such as ERT and acoustic spectroscopy) or where process conditions change from conducting to non-conducting (such as multi-phase flow, phase transitions or polymerisation).
